Family Law Advice

During a divorce, negotiate with your spouse, and be reasonable with your demands.

Generally judges do not like to determine who gets to keep the dog, the cat, or any other personal property. In an effort to avoid this, judges will allow the vast majority of agreements reached between adverse parties. So, talk to your spouse about what you want, make reasonable demands, and be willing to honor some of your spouse’s demands and you will save time, money, and headaches.
